IV SET PARTS : Spike cap, Spike, Drip chamber, Air vent, Flow filter, PVC tube, Roller and Clamp, Injection Port, Connector and Needles. For more detail, please check as bellow:

PUNCTURE SPIKE CAP

Spike cap is made of Medical PP or PE material, to protect spike agaist any foreign objects into the spike.

Function of air vent: to control air to enter the container of the IV fluid. Going over the surface of the fluid, the air subsequently exerts downward pressure to hasten the flow. The air vent is precisely located at the inferior portion of the plastic spike. The filter inside the air vent helps prevent microorganisms from entering the infusion bag is an essential function. Air-vent makes all the air entering the container pass through it.

Note:If the container is a soft container, such as infusion bag, the spike can be with or without an air vent. If the container is a hard bottle, the spike must be with an air vent as the fluid will flow only after the air into the bottle.

SPIKE WITHOUT AIR VENT

IV set without air vent is used for Soft IV container.

SPIKE WITH BUTTERFLY HANDLE

Spike with butterfly handle is supported to be easy to puncture the spike into the Infusion container, avoiding hand slippery or IV set falls to the floor from the nurse ‘s hand.

WITH TWO SPIKE

IV set with two spike (Double Stain Spikes), one spike is to puncture the IV container, and the other spike is to exhaust the air of IV container.

This IV set is available for both soft IV container and hard IV container

WITH FILTER OR WITHOUT FILTER

Function: The filter serves to strain out particles in the liquid, safeguarding patients from potential infections caused by these particles. This filter should have a filtration rate of at least 80% for latex particles. The infusion set’s filter has a smaller pore size compared to the filter in a blood transfusion set because its primary function is to remove particles from the liquid. Conversely, the blood transfusion set’s filter aims to block the entry of blood clots, small platelet clumps, and white blood cells into the circulatory system.

IV DROPS/ML

Regular Chamber is 20 drops/ML for adult Macro drip IV set.
If assemblied drip tip, that is 60 drops/ml for baby Microdrip IV set..

BURETTE INFUSION SET

BURETTE SET (60drops):

Upper Big Chamber material PETG or PVC material. And the lower end Chamber is PVC material by 60 drops/ml.
Valve inside of the upper Chamber is Latex Free
Size: 100ML and 150ML.
All other parts are same as regular IV set.
